Heidi Klum ignited some sort of controversy because she dressed up as Kali for Halloween.  (Apparently, some Hindu leaders were offended and asked for an apology.)  Now, granted, I have no idea what counts as offensive to Hindus, and I was completely in support of the Danish cartoonists who got in so much hot water over the Muhammed cartoons.  So, one could say that I'm not particularly sensitive to other religions.  (If it matters, I really have no issue with people dressing up as nuns, priests, Jesus, etc.  I may think that you're a bit of a jackass for being a pregnant nun or something, but I'm certainly not going to demand an apology.)  Anyway, I couldn't even really absorb the controversy aspect because I was so impressed by her commitment to the costume.  Damn.  I guess Heidi Klum doesn't see the need for a "Sexy Deity" costume.
