By the way, there is a new Daily Fluff today.

So, last night, I ended up watching a mini-marathon of Pranked on MTV.  (As a side note, this led to my having to watch way, way, way too many commercials featuring smug 20-somethings dispensing "wisdom" on life and/or helping others.  This is a very irritating trend that must be stopped before I go postal.)  Anyway, the jist of Pranked is that it shows videos of people playing pranks on their friends and family, an ordinate number of which involve either a.) hitting them with something; b.) dumping water on them; c.) scaring the hell out of them, generally while they're asleep; or d.) some combination of all of these.


It's not that I don't appreciate a good prank.  (The people who covered every inch of their roommate's bedroom--even his personal belongings like his computer and guitar--with post-it notes earned my respect and appreciation.)  And I will confess that, when correctly timed, there is definitely something very funny about watching a guy get hit in the head with an exercise ball.  But, generally, I don't know why people feel they're so funny and clever for finding another way to jump out at someone or pour water on them.  You know what really is funny?  When a prank goes wrong:
